Remember how TNT announced last August that the otherworldly Holly Hunter cop drama Saving Grace will present its fourth and final season this summer? Well, now the network is apparently taking that scheduling back.

According to television-industry website The Futon Critic, TNT has confirmed that fans will get to see the series’ nine-episode farewell months earlier than originally indicated.

Actor Bokeem Woodbine was a familiar presence during the first two seasons of TNT’s Saving Grace, when he played ill-fated death-row inmate and Grace’s fellow Earl charge Leon Cooley. Although he’s no longer with the show, Woodbine lends his talent to the new feature flick Black Dynamite, a so-called blaxploitation action spoof that opens on October 16.

As difficult as it may be to believe, TiVo actually collects television-viewing data based on affiliation with major U.S. political parties. Is anyone surprised that the recent most-watched show among those with a Democratic persuasion is the edgy Holly Hunter crime drama Saving Grace?

Well, I know I’m not shocked in the least. According to TiVo numbers from July 2009, Saving Grace bests deserving series like Bravo’s Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List (#2) and even its fellow TNT cop drama The Closer (#3) among Democrats who watch TV.

There is a definite end date in sight for the Holly Hunter cop drama Saving Grace.

TNT recently announced the network plans a summer 2010 series finale for the show, which will come at the end of a 9-episode fourth season. Star and executive producer Hunter is an Academy Award winner, and she has also scored two Emmy nominations for her captivating performance on Saving Grace.

Saving Grace closes its third season and current summer run with the August 18 episode “Am I Gonna Die Today?.”

The latest case that Grace and her fellow OCPD colleagues tackle involves a well-known doctor and philanthropist who kills an intruder at his home, leaving the criminal’s accomplice as the main target of the subsequent investigation.

What a thought-provoking title. Tonight, August 11, TNT presents the latest new episode of Saving Grace, uniquely called “Looks Like a Lesbian Attack to Me.”

My first instinct is to ask what, exactly, does a “lesbian attack” look like, but I’m sure the answer to that obvious question will become clear as the episode unfolds.

Saving Grace goes nationwide during the brand-new August 4 episode appetizingly titled “Popcorn.”

Dances with Wolves and Kings actor Wes Studi lends his considerable talent to Saving Grace as a guest star on the July 28 episode “That Was No First Kiss.”

Things are about to change forever on Saving Grace during the brand-new July 21 episode called “Am I Going to Lose Her?.” And, surprisingly, it appears that the “her” in the title in danger of getting lost is the one and only Grace.

The action is set in motion when Grace becomes involved in a rape and kidnapping case…

Former Blossom child actress Mayim Bialik joins TNT’s Saving Grace for the new July 14 episode with the most interesting title “Moooooooo.” Hope they didn’t leave out any os by mistake.
