Sunday ‘Librarian’ Marathon Features ‘2012’ Extras
November 7, 2009 by Chandra
Sunday, November 8, is an excellent day to stay in and catch a great movie marathon on TNT. Starting at 2pm ET, the network will present all three flicks in the Noah Wyle action-adventure franchise The Librarian.

However, the icing on the cake is TNT’s plans to spice the marathon up with a trio of one-minute sneak peeks at the upcoming science-fiction feature film 2012 in the form of interviews with cast members John Cusack (Being John Malkovich), Amanda Peet (The X Files: I Want to Believe), and Chiwetel Ejiofor (American Gangster).
Directed by epic-loving Roland Emmerich (The Day After Tomorrow, The Patriot, Independence Day), the potential blockbuster about a global crisis and the end of the world will hit theaters across the United States next Friday, November 13. Emmerich is also interviewed in Sunday’s promotional campaign.
TNT’s Librarian series stars five-time Emmy-nominated ER veteran Wyle as Flynn Carsen. A nerdy and brilliant book lover who holds 22 academic degrees (Yowza!), Flynn becomes a reluctant hero when he unexpectedly ends up with a fabulous yet dangerous secret agent-style job as the protector of history’s greatest treasures.
Of course, that position also entails getting mixed up in one death-defying escapade after another. But fortunately for Flynn, there’s always a beautiful-but-brainy female partner to assist him as he achieves the impossible, including Castle and Heroes actress Stana Katic (pictured above with Wyle in The Librarian: The Curse of the Judas Chalice).
During the six-hour marathon, catch The Librarian: Quest for the Spear, the 2004 first entry in the series, at 2pm, followed by the 2006 second installment The Librarian: Return to King Solomon’s Mines at 4pm, and the 2008 third flick The Librarian: The Curse of the Judas Chalice at 6pm.
