December 31, 2009 by Chandra
It’s almost a new year and a new decade, and TNT plans to inaugurate both with an all-day movie marathon on Friday, January 1, 2010.
Even better, the first six flicks in the nine-movie extravaganza will air with limited commercials, which will make them about ten minutes shorter than the two-hour broadcast television norm.

November 7, 2009 by Chandra
Sunday, November 8, is an excellent day to stay in and catch a great movie marathon on TNT. Starting at 2pm ET, the network will present all three flicks in the Noah Wyle action-adventure franchise The Librarian.
However, the icing on the cake is TNT’s plans to spice the marathon up with a trio of one-minute sneak peeks at the upcoming science-fiction feature film 2012 in the form of interviews with cast members John Cusack (Being John Malkovich), Amanda Peet (The X Files: I Want to Believe), and Chiwetel Ejiofor (American Gangster).
Bokeem Woodbine Gets His Blaxploitation On
October 16, 2009 by Chandra
Actor Bokeem Woodbine was a familiar presence during the first two seasons of TNT’s Saving Grace, when he played ill-fated death-row inmate and Grace’s fellow Earl charge Leon Cooley. Although he’s no longer with the show, Woodbine lends his talent to the new feature flick Black Dynamite, a so-called blaxploitation action spoof that opens on October 16.
Woodbine fills the role of Black Hand Jack in the movie, which follows the adventures of the title character (The Dark Knight’s Michael Jai White), a legendary 1970s superhero-style mythical figure who’s on a mission to take down “The Man” and his/their/its plan to …read more

Viewers are going to have to wait all the way until May 2012 to finally see it on the basic-cable network. Oh, well, better later than never.
For those not in the know, Inglourious Basterds is a World War II film all about two separate schemes to assassinate Nazi bigwigs in German-occupied France, one concocted by a French Jewish …read more
Hit Flick ‘300’ Coming to TNT Next Weekend
September 5, 2009 by Chandra
If you don’t have plans next Friday, September 11, but you’re still jonesing to catch a cool movie, TNT is definitely the place to be. The network will feature the television premiere of the 2007 blockbuster 300 that night at 8pm ET.
Directed and co-written by Zack Snyder (Watchmen, Dawn of the Dead), 300 is a visually appealing graphic portrayal of the legendary Battle of Thermopylae, fought in 480 B.C., King Leonidas’ (Gerard Butler, The Ugly Truth) paltry band of 300 Spartan warriors and the huge Persian army led by Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro of Lost).
