Although I love the rhyming title “Sally in the Alley,” Southland’s February 2 Season One episode, the related storyline couldn’t be more depressing.

Sally refers to the unidentified woman found dead in a Los Angeles alley, a case that falls into the hands of gang squad partners Detectives Sammy Bryant and Nate Moretta.

TNT on DVD: ‘Southland’ Season One

Out on DVD today, January 26, is the first season of TNT’s recent NBC import Southland. So, if you haven’t been able to watch the show’s currently in-progress rookie run on TNT, never fear.

The two-disc set is available in DVD format only (meaning there’s no Blu-ray version), and it includes all seven episodes from the crime drama’s NBC outing last spring.
‘Raising the Bar’ Alum J. August Richards Lands ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Gig

TNT’s original ensemble legal drama Raising the Bar may have been canceled at the end of last year, but that hasn’t stopped former lead cast member J. August Richards from scoring a prized role on another network’s hugely popular primetime series.

According to TV Guide, the Angel veteran will play a young Dr. Richard Webber on ABC’s hit medical drama Grey’s Anatomy, which is now in its sixth season.
Rizzoli & Isles, Delta Blues, and Aliens Coming to TNT

TNT fans have three huge reasons to get happy these days. Earlier this week, the network announced its welcome decision to greenlight three new original series: the tentatively titled crime shows Rizzoli & Isles and Delta Blues, as well as an unnamed alien invasion project starring ER veteran Noah Wyle.

TNT Presents the 16th Anual SAG Awards Live

On Saturday, January 23, at 8pm ET, TNT will present a live broadcast of the annual Screen Actors Guild Awards for the thirteenth year.

Airing simultaneously on TNT’s sister Turner network TBS, the program will honor nominees and chosen winners for their their outstanding performances during 2009 in five movie categories and eight primetime television categories.
TNT Participates in ‘Hope for Haiti Now’ Global Telethon

If you’re among the hordes of people who plan to watch Hope for Haiti Now, the January 22 global telethon put together by actor George Clooney (pictured below) and MTV Networks to raise disaster relief funds for the victims of the catastrophic January 12 earthquake in Haiti, then you should know that TNT is one of the over 30 U.S. networks that will simultaneously air the important historic event.

Officially titled Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief, the special is a two-hour, commercial-free program that will feature appearances and live performances by various entertainers alongside continual efforts to raise money for ongoing relief efforts in Haiti.
Leverage: ‘The Zanzibar Marketplace Job’ Preview

Leverage has really padded the guest star roster for the exciting January 27 episode called “The Zanzibar Marketplace Job.”

Not only does Invasion and Crash alumna Kari Matchett (pictured above at left) return to reprise her role as Nate’s ex-wife Maggie Collins during the installment, but Star Trek: Voyager standout Jeri Ryan will also be back as Tara. Then there’s Battlestar Galactica veteran Mark Sheppard, who drops by to play Nate’s worthy, perpetually conniving nemesis Jim Sterling again.
