Her show may be on hiatus, but HawthoRNe star Jada Pinkett Smith is not letting the break slow her down in the least.
People magazine reports that the actress and her movie star husband Will Smith have a very impressive joint gig coming up: traveling to Oslo, Norway, in order to co-host the Norwegian Nobel Committee’s 16th Annual Nobel Peace Prize Concert on December 11.
Leverage: Beth Riesgraf Rocks the Stunts

It’s so hard picking my favorite character on Leverage since I love the entire cast. But I think if push came to shove, quirky-yet-lovable Parker would have to get my vote.
The cunning character, an ace thief, is played by actress Beth Riesgraf (pictured above), of course. It’s a good thing she’s in excellent shape, too, because besides Christian Kane’s fight-loving muscle man Eliot Spencer, she’s the cast member who spends the most time performing impressive stunts. Who hasn’t seen her jump off of a tall building a couple of times yet?

Trio of Eric McCormack ‘Law & Order: SVU’ Previews

It’s almost time for the September 30 appearance of former Trust Me star Eric McCormack on the NBC crime drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
As previously posted, the Will & Grace Emmy winner is set to guest star as online dating website CEO Vance Shepard during the upcoming “Sugar” episode. And judging from the courtroom preview stills, there’s a very good chance that Vance will end up as a suspect in the murder of a woman found jammed into a suitcase.
Dustin Diamond Lowers the Bar for Mark-Paul Gosselaar
NBC’s 1989–1993 high school sitcom Saved by the Bell may have ended over 15 years ago, but that hasn’t stopped cast member Dustin Diamond from slinging dirt about his former colleague and current Raising the Bar star Mark-Paul Gosselaar in his forthcoming so-called tell-all book Behind the Bell.
According to Us Weekly, the actor many people know best as Screech, the nickname of his Saved by the Bell character, accuses Gosselaar of (among other things) using steroids in 1994 to prepare for his role on the ill-fated spinoff Saved by the Bell: The College Years.
Coming to TNT: Men of a Certain Age
There are just a couple of months left before the December 8 debut of TNT’s latest original series, the male-centric hourlong dramedy Men of a Certain Age.
Fortunately for potential fans, the show comes pre-packaged with a lot of clout, thanks largely to the stellar main cast that includes Emmy-winning Everybody Loves Raymond veteran Ray Romano (who triples as co-creator and co-executive producer), Emmy winning Homicide: Life on the Street veteran Andre Braugher, and Golden Globe-winning Quantum Leap veteran Scott Bakula.

What television fan doesn’t love Gloria Reuben, who currently plays compassionate, competent, and highly ethical veteran public defender Rosalind “Roz” Whitman on the Steven Bochco and David Feige legal drama Raising the Bar?
A native of Canada, the multi-talented actress and singer is probably best known to television viewers as physician assistant Jeanie Boulet on the long-running NBC medical drama ER, a role she played from 1994 to 2000 and once more in 2008. One of the more prominent storylines during the series’ 15-season run was Jeanie’s moving battle with HIV/AIDS.
TNT Makes a Date with ‘Inglourious Basterds’

Here’s another interesting development for big-screen film fans. News broke this week that TNT has landed the rights to air the hit Quentin Tarantino written and directed drama Inglourious Basterds after agreeing to cough up about $12 million, with just one little caveat…
Viewers are going to have to wait all the way until May 2012 to finally see it on the basic-cable network. Oh, well, better later than never.
For those not in the know, Inglourious Basterds is a World War II film all about two separate schemes to assassinate Nazi bigwigs in German-occupied France, one concocted by a French Jewish woman and the other by the Basterds, a group of American soldiers.
On DVD: Timothy Hutton Stars in ‘Lymelife’

Academy Award-winning Leverage star Timothy Hutton has a brand-new feature film out on DVD the week of September 22, the independent comedy-drama Lymelife.
Penned by brothers Derick Martini and Steven Martini and directed by Derick, the coming-of-age movie follows the lives of two suburban families who live in the Syosset area of Long Island, New York, in the late 1970s. Events unfold through the eyes of 15-year-old Scott Bartlett (Rory Culkin, Mean Creek) as an outbreak of Lyme disease, failing relationships, and real estate issues all strike at once.
